So I went to my On Demand menu for my local cable company and started looking for different exercises and ways to work out. The one that I found that I am going to use is a cardio dance workout that is both fun and challenging. It gets the heart pumping and you can actually feel the burn in your muscles. Happy weight loss ladies!</p>

workout songs

<p>Any suggestions on some work out songs that keep you moving?? <p>My gym had a free work out day, for their pay classes.&nbsp; I signed up,thinking that if I could commit to 4 weeks of training, I would already have made myself a habit of working out and would stick to it easier. Well, the class I took&nbsp;was so hard, used such heavy weights that I am now suffering from DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) that my doctor tells me will go away on its own in 3-7 days.&nbsp; My thigh muscles, biceps and triceps having been screaming for 2 days.&nbsp; No amounts of ibuprophen is helping.&nbsp;Stretching makes it feel better temporarily.&nbsp;I forced my self&nbsp; to go and walk at a brisk pace for 30 minutes last night and will have to force myself to go again tonight.&nbsp; But just a warning to everyone: if you haven't truly worked out in a great while, take it from a sufferer - GO EASY on your self and don't over do it.&nbsp; You will be in tremendous amounts of pain if you don't.&nbsp;</p>

It was only like $12 and is basically like an entire weight set! My yoga mat and my resistance band are my new best friends. I get most of my cardio at the gym where I attend college but for my toning I would rather not lift weights with the football players who can bench 360 lol. I weigh about 160 pounds Im 5"6 and I love my shape but I hate my stomach :( My sides bulge out and its very hideous! So today I brought the SQ appetite things that you add to water. I also am exercising and watching what I eat. I really hope that this helps. I was wondering if anyone else had any ideas about what else I could do, or is their something that I should do that Im not doing. My plan is as follows: a special K meal bar for breakfast, a special k cereal bar for snack, a Kashi frozen entree for lunch, a cereal bar for snack (or almonds), and either a salad or something baked for dinner for no red meat at all. Im going to attempt to walk everyday on my lunch break (weather permitting) and exercise (paying close attention to my abs and butt) at least 30 min a night once I get home and get the kids winded down.and a glass of water with the SQ added to it, at least 3 times a day. So guys let me knhow what you think....Im heading down the wrong path??????

My tummy is not going anywhere!

<p><strong>I have stuck to my diet, I take only the weightloss packets (those do it for me- I am not hungry and full of energy to work out) I do 40 mins of cardio and a good ab workout to follow, but&nbsp; I am not seeing any results on my body :( the scale sale 5 or 6 pounds but I see NOTTA! any help for my belly? A gym membership doesn't sound appealing to me because I picture all of the in-shape, good looking, coordinated people and I'm very uncomfortable being flabby and uncoordinated in front of them!

So I'm wondering what everyone else's favorite exercise is. I'm also wondering if I have a distorted idea of going to the gym. :) Hopefully this will become a reference list for others!

I'm an athlete...I'm a competitive artistic roller skater (mix betweeen ballroom and what ice skating looks like but on quad roller skates google it hehe). Anyways, I've been an athlete all my life but I've never ran. I've always been scared of it. Well I signed up for a half marathon for a great cause and the half marathon is May 16th. I ran 1.5 miles last night...my time was super disappointing I thought I'd do better. I guess I'm looking for some encouragement. I've got a plan all lined up...and I'm confident I'll stick to it but I just need the reassurance that like all things once you do them a while it gets easier. I was in desparate need of a new pair so I tried some on today and got what's called the Gel Nimbus. It's very comfortable, and they were expensive ($135 and that was on sale). I wore them around the house a bit this morning and my toes started hurting. Later when I worked out, they were okay on the treadmill, especially the heel, but my toes were hurting again. On the eliptical, my feet were killing me! I think the shoes are great but something is wrong. Perhaps I need to go up half a size or just get a different style. Does anyone know if you can return sneakers after you've worn them? Only for probably 2 hours max, and I still have the tags, box, etc...just the tag is removed. I don't know if I should try taking them back or hope they break in and feel better. I was so happy with them in the store and when I first got them :(

Gettting Sarted need help

hi im a mother of two and i want to start losing my baby weight from my younge child...but i dont have time to go to the gym..can anyone help me with some exercises that i can do at home with out the bulky mechines...

Terrible shape and medical problems

I'm motivated and willing but need suggestions. I have a serious problem with food and lack of motivation. I have a few relatives, close ones that have died from heart disease and sometimes I feel that this is exactly where I am headed. Nothing seems to be going right in my life right now but I am hoping, like so many others to be able to change that this year and onward. I believe if I am able to have support on a daily or a weekly basis from one or more people, that I can actually make it this time. I need help and support and to travel this long road ahead. I believe that if I can have one or more people that won't fall off the plan in the middle of the year or sooner I can not only make it this time but be a support system for someone else. I can't do this alone. Its said to be good for the relationship and getting us that together time. Problem is, He and I have different views on working out. I want a fun and upbeat and laughing workout. He wants a hardcore and breath taking workout. I often think he needs to workout with another guy to keep up with him. Does anyone else have a husband/boyfriend partner? How can we work out successfully?

just starting out; some questions

hey all,

im just starting out on the slimquick programs and was looking for suggestions on what i should do for exercise. i am in pretty good shape; i can do a 3 mile run nonstop easily. i dont know if i should do one of the slimquick excercise programs or follow my own. if i followed my own, i would workout 6x weekly, doing atleast a half hour of cardio and some core (ab) work on every one of these days. I would do a full body strength routine twice weekly rather than just core.

does this sound good, or should i just stick to one of the plans from slimquick?
do you follow the slimquick plans or if not what do you do?
and is it working?
please note i do not want to bulk up at all, just using the strength to stay toned.

any answers and suggestions would be lovely,
thankyou (:

Busy life....

Hey, well I'm 18. I took a year off from going to college, but I'm working as a waitress. So to say the least my schedule a bit insane. Some days I'll be working from 9-9 others I could only be working 9-4, or 8:45-4 or even 4-8. Though it is rarely constant. It makes it difficult to find time to work out. I'd much prefer sleeping.... Though because I'm working in a restaurant I need to start watching my weight I've gained 5 pounds and I've only worked there for 2 months. Its a tad bit challenging to get a salad for lunch when there is Boston postrami, corned beef and other delicious fatty foods. Though on top of this I am also feeling the pressure to go out with my friends and since the only ones that are still in my town are in high school they arn't exactly looking to eat a salad. I'm not to sure what to do anymore.

Shaun T Insanity

Hello all,

I'm taking slimquick in conjunction with the Insanity work out program.

I'm new here. My name is Allison. I was wondering if any body had any tips about doing the workouts without anything to use. I was getting tired of mine and decided I needed a new one. I stuck with the firm cuz I figured I shouldn't change it if it was working. Anyway I decided to get The Firm Cardio Dance Express, and let me tell you that if you like a good sweat session this is it. Yeah the moves are kind of lame and you would never use them at a club but if you do them right you get your heart rate up and its fun and doesn't seem like a workout at all. I really suggest it to anyone who is looking for a change in their workouts, I got it at walmart for ten bucks. And if anyone has a good way to work out the part of your belly that sags after giving birth please let me know or the love handles. thanks

New Chick

Hello all, I just started my cleanse today and I'm raring to go. I have much more support than the average as my sig other is a champion body builder. He's been helpful in telling me what items can be substituted for another in case I don't have the items listed in the little book and what NOT to do in certain instances. Like adding sugar to smoothies to add flavor (honey is better and less fattening). So aside from the crazy possible moody days I think I'll be good. I also have a copy of the Biggest Loser game (I run a gaming site and will be giving away a copy or two if anyone is willing to let us follow your progress with pictures etc. on our site.) Nice to meet you all and looking forward to be in great shape and health again!

On Tuesdays, i'm in class all day (9:30am-7:45 pm) but I get a break from 3:20 till 5. During that time, i've been going to the gym. (I don't want to g when i get home because the biggest loser come on at 8pm). So i was on my way to the gym and I realized i let my studnt ID in my car! They won't even let you into the building with out one. So I decided I'd walk back to my car (about a mile or so) then go for a jog outside for the sake of time. I know this 3 mile loop around campus that I ran once upon a time during my days on the team...and last time I ran it I averaged just above a 7 minute mile. I think it took me just under 21 minutes to do the whole thing. This time...my goal was just to get through it without walking. I surpassed my expectations and copleted the whole 3 miles in 26 minutes...which is just under a 9 minute mile! I'm so excited y that because the last time (about 2 months ago or so) i timed my mile on the treadmill and it was up around almost 15 minutes!! So I'm glad i improved, but I also have a time I'm working towards! My goal is to run the 3 mile loop in 20 minutes at some point this winter/early spring. Also, i was watching the biggest loser last night and this previous contestant was saying how him and 12 other previous contestants are doing a triathalon in the morning. I was talking to my fiance last night and told him that i want to work towards an event like that so that theres more of a point to stay healthy once i reach my goals. He said he'd train with me when the ime comes. So yes...one small step today...will be one giant leap later on! Take care! It really is a major a** kicker! So i got thinking about my workout schedule the other day and decided to really do a personal challenge and dedicate myself to doing that dvd and see what happens. The thing says you can lose up to 20 pounds in 30 days. Well, i'm not morbidly obese so i don't expect to lose the 20 pounds at all. My goal however is to lose 15...and i'm giving myself from yesterday until the last day in november. So dec 1, i am hoping to be 15 pounds lighter. If anything, i want to see a major diffeence in my muscle tone. But seriously...these workouts are killer! My legs actually hurt walking down the stairs the next day from this dvd, but if i spend literally 2 hours in the gym, i don't feel anything the next day. Ive heard this dvd is very effective and I want to work through the program and see or myself. I strongly reccommend purchasing this workout dvd because it'll be the best 20 dollars you'll ever spend :)

First Week Completed

I have officially reached my first week and wanted to report that although I saw a weight gain of 1/2 lbs I am not discouraged. I did the cleanse (and I am still amazed at the effectivess of it). It's still working!!!! I do feel that my big belly is shringing though, it could be my imagine, but it motivates me (LOL). I have exercised all week long (I am currently brisk walking 4 miles every other day). I needed to jump start my exercise and tonight will be my first night of cardio. I am trying to keep my calories to 1200 a day but finding it difficult (I don't get 1200 calories in, its usually 1150-1175 a day). Can someone give me some advise on getting to my target caloric intake. I am also writing down everything that I eat and I eat 6 times a day, breakfast, lunch, dinner and 3 small snacks.

Burning Calories

I am on day 3 of the program and I am motivated to accomplish the goal that I have set for myself. I need some advice/help. I can't afford to join a gym, however, I am getting my exercise in by improvising with what is available to me, for example, we have a walking track, I have an exercise ball, dumbells and other things to keep me MOVING. I am trying to find out how I can determine how many calories I burn when I do my cardio and strength training. Is there an inexpensive calorie burner gadget that I can purchase that is inexpensive? My last question is, I have not been able to figure out the Exercise tracker on this site and how to update it. Any help is greatly appreciated. Be blessed and a blessing to someone else.

Stair Stepper

Hello ladies! I know a lot of you belong to a gym...so I'd like to sare my newest fascination hahaha...i LOVE the stair stepper. I admit, I was very intimidated to get on one of those in a gym, but I started using it last week and 1.) i lost 3 pounds (when i normally only lose about 1-2 pounds a week) and 2. i can seriously tell a difference in my legs, hips and behind! I lost an inch off of my thigh alone in just this week! So for anyone who has access to a stair stepper...step step step away!!!!

abDisco

ok so ondemand they have this abdisco thing where its only 7 minutes and they say do 14 days and lose 2 dress sizes and man oh man does it work i only done it 3 times and i already lost an inch yay but my sides hurt

my life is crashing

<p>i cant exercise for the life of me my life is to busy...school...job...one newborn...a boyfriend who brings me down alot...i need some help:(</p>

Sick

So how come after i work out. especially after i do sit ups, crunches, and exercises of that natcure that work out the abs, i feel sick? i dunno why. i breath and rest inbetween reps.

Just starting out

Ok so im just starting out, I got a belly, fat thighs, fat under my arms and on my sides and back.
