You can substitute the menu foods with other healthy choices, it is there to help you learn new healthy ways of eating and give you an idea of calorie counts. For example you can eat cheerios or special K with skim milk for breakfast with maybe a slice or 2 of whole wheat or whole grain toast. For lunch you can say have a good veggie salad and even cut up a chicken breast into it from last nights supper. Use your own food but healthy food to make up your meals. No junk foods. Use lots of veggies, fruits, fiber and proteins. Even oatmeal for breakfast is great and good for you. :)
