    i would just add that, when you buy items in bulk or otherwise not pre-packaged (well for that matter, even pre-packaged unless it's one serving), it's a good idea to measure out the servings and put them in individual snack bags. i do that with trail mix, nuts, fruit and veggies, etc. that way, when i'm hungry (but know its too early for my next meal) or when it's snack time, i can grab the snack bag and enjoy without having to worry if my eyes and hands are bigger than my food plan :0)
