How do you....

Before

After

SMOOTHY00 says:

How do you retrain your mind & body to want to eat healthy foods? Do ya'll feel deprived of salty, greasy goodness foods? My thing is I can diet for a little while, before I start to think to myself that I don't really care if I gain weight. I know I need to focus & lose all this flab, just don't know how to keep focused. How do I keep myself from feeling that I don't need to go through all this mess to lose weight?

smoothy I understand what you are saying and I have always been one of the ones that would try to diet but could only do it for a few days but I am proud to say that I have been "dieting" for almost 3 weeks now and i love it. I have quit fastfood, sodas, fried foods, sweets, and if I want some meat I just bake it. I know that sounds like a lot but it is really not that bad. For instance I drank 6-7 20oz. Pepsi's a day and I would end my day with one in one hand and a king size candy bar in the other but I just woke up one morning and decided to change my life style and my eating habbits. Instead of grabbing a coke when I want something to dring I eather grab a water or a small glass of Ocean Spray's Cran-Pomegranate juice. I drink about 3 times more water now than I did a month ago. When I get the muchies either mid morning or mid afternoon I grab either a piece of fruit or I will grab 2 or 3 apple cinamon rice cakes and that stops my craving for food. I am proud to say that in the 3 weeks that I have been "dieting" and the 1 1/2 weeks that I have been going ot the gym I have went from 186 to 175 and now that I am taking SQ I know that I will keep loosing the weight that I so want to loose. If you need any motivation or support please feel free to send me a message. I know that it is going to be rough for not only me but for you and every other woman out there that wants to loose weight and get our lives back. Hope everything goes good for you. You need to ask yourself how bad do you want to lose weight, if you want it really bad enough giving up the junk foods will be easy. Re training your brain is not so hard, tell yourself the reasons why losing weight is very important and not just for looks. To much weight can be harmful in numerous ways and just not worth it. throw out all the junk food and re stock with healthy foods. after about a week of being stronger than your stomach it gets easier. What you need to do is take back control of your body instead of it controling you. Going back to junk foods and thinking you don't care if you gain weight is a way of feeling sorry for yourself and eating the junk again, that is your stomach fighting you as it will because it wants that weight and junk food back as it is used to it. You need to tell it no way, you are in charge now. You can do this. Be strong. :)
