When I feel really sore I soak in epsom salt in the bathtub. Just sit back and relax and soak for a while. The soreness will go away when your body is used to exercising, I've been getting better at exercising.

Yep, a nice hot bath relaxes the muscles, I even found with soreness in certain areas was made easier by slowly moving that part of your body around to keep the muscle loose. Them muscles have been woken up and are working so go easy at first with the exercises, take them slowly to help build the muscles back up.You don't have to follow the exercises on here under the heading exercises exactly but follow the times and days for the workouts, it is made to help easy you into an exercise routine. Every second day is rest day and that gives your muscles a chance to heal and get stronger. Walk a bit around say the living room and gently swing your arms... GENTLY... to help them stay relaxed. Remember to warm up before exercising and walk the exercises off for cool down when finished.

Sounds great!!! I work out everyday... because my lower body is use to it... it my upper body that NOT!! and since I started doing upper body work out every other day it really become a pain!!! I just never lifted weights before... I always been more of a cardio person (running, biking, etc) leg work!!! I can even do squats and lunges with no problem but as soon as I started lifting weights (trainer started me at 5lbs.) it been killing me!!! My trainer thinks it weird... since most people have problems with lower body training... At least I have skinny arms...

He started you really soon and with heavy weights. No wonder you are sore. I was always told you need to get the area muscles working and flexable first. Muscles tear when worked, then need a day or so to heal then can keep working them, that's what wakes them up. Your sore muscles is them woken up and healing all at the same time. Them are some heavy weights he has you on. I didn't do weights of any kind until after 3 months of getting my muscles worked and healed and stronger, my weights now are 2.5 pounds each... one set for my ankles and one set for my wrists for resistence training. I don't have a trainer, my trainer is me. :) Now I know why you are ao sore, goodness girl take care. You need a hot tub to relax in. :)

I took four days from doing resistance and have been doing laps in the pool... and running!!! Feel better I also tried using this muscle cream (Hot n Cold) but I accidentally got Extra Strength it irritated my skin... Thats when I knew I needed to njust take a break... Thanks for your comment chiks... my trainer is a body builder and he believes in starting off strong... which worked for the first week not so the second week... (thats when he change gears and had me work on my own and enlisted my fiance to help me) I am glad you can motivate yourself... that's my problem... and I am hoping to change it and start pushing weights on my own soon...

He prolly worked you way to hard.... BUT! haha, muscles have to be torn to grow. I always just continue to work out when I'm sore. The first day is always easy because your normally more motivated and push yourself, not knowing that your body will be dying the next day. I'm always one to give up on the third day, so I might push my rest day farther just so I can get past that 3 day hump. This is just experience being in sports, which is different because you are always being pushed by your coach and friends. I start my own work out plan tomorrow along with SLIMQUICK! I'm very excited~

I love to see how sore I am the next day, it's really a wake up call. Sometimes you don't try very hard the day before and you still become incredibly sore, I really think it tells you where you are and where your boundaries are, which is always a good thing.

When i get sore, i go to walmart and get a tube of Thera-gesic pain relieving creme for sore muscles. It works. It helps ease the soreness a bit. And it don't really have a strong stinky smell like Ben-gay.
