I'm going to preface this by saying that I'm not bragging, but simply using these forums as a means for holding myself accountable. I'm terrible about starting things and then getting bored or something and quitting, and I figure if there are people to respond to me who are far enough from my personal life that they can be complete honest/harsh and stuff. So I'm probably going to post here with my workouts from every day.

Today I did week 1, day 1 of the C25K plan. It's 24 minutes of walking and 9 of running. I started a little before 9:30 this morning, and it was warm to say the least. I felt pretty good the whole way through, and had no idea how far I had gone. I got home and mapped my route on GoogleMaps and found out it was 2.6 miles! I shocked myself to find out I was capable of a just under 13 minute mile. I lounged around the house for a bit, then decided I needed to do strength/weights. So I threw in the Firm's "Total Body Time Crunch" workout and did the express version, which is a 25 minute version of it without the cardio intervals.

Today's workouts are in! I did most of the Firm "Cardio Dance Fusion," but gave out on the ballet. I got through the really intense stuff (club, salsa, and jive sections), but my hips were too sore for proper ballet technique, and my ballet training was not letting me half-do it. I also did day 1 of the 100 pushups, 200 situps, and 200 squats challenges. It ended up being 12 pushups, 60 situps and like 67 squats. :)

rolltide, I think it's great that you are holding yourself to account. The forum, at least how i see it, is to help YOU. So use it to help YOU. It sounds like you are doing a great job at staying active despite the heat. Good job, keep it up!

Day 2 of C25K down! Got my avg. speed to 12:24 min/mile! I'm off on strength training today plus all of my challenges, and I'm headed to the beach until Wednesday! I'll feel good knowing I got up early and put my me time in this morning (I was the first one up in my house this morning and was out the door before anyone else woke up - and I'm 18! That alone is exciting ;)) Have a great weekend everyone!
