Before

After

I have been jogging as my cardio since I started SQ about four weeks ago! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE running!!! But I am getting bored, and I know that sometimes you need to change up your workout because your body gets used to the exercise and the results aren't as good as before.

I wnated any suggestions of another form of cardio to do outside (since its summer!!!)

I don't have a gym membership, I have a bike, which I am considering switching too, but I wanted to see what everyone else does for some cardio other than running!!!

Thanks ladies, Keep up the good work!!!!

BIKE RIDE! That's what I've been doing, sometimes I do half and half, jog and then get on the bike. Which phew is a work out on the legs. I like bike riding because it tones my calfs a lot better then typical calf raises. Bike riding is fun, I get to move faster and go farther. Just more interesting. I plan on finding new things to do. but this is my first week, and i like riding my bike better then running but still plan to do both.

If you have Comcast as your cable provider check out Exercise TV in your On Demand channels. There is a plethora of workouts available...and all for free! Sorry, I know you wanted suggestions for working out outside, but I live in Houston, TX where it gets into the triple digits...too hot to workout outside for me. Have you tried changing where you go running? a different neighborhood or maybe a different park?

omg ashley is soo right. i did the comcast thing buttt there is a glitch. not all are really ok workouts. i mean their good but then you have these 10 min workouts and 15 or 3 min or something retarded. its just the fact that you have to scroll through to find a workout you'll like. and by then you just want to lay back and just watch judge mathis or something. (comes on at 9) haha. but take her advice though shes right.

First thing... grab a headset and some good music to go with you. :) Try speed walking where to do X amount of speed walking then X amount of jogging then back to X amount of walking through out your entire cardio workout outside. Biking is great but you need to remember cardio is getting your heart rate up and get that blood flowing so biking is good but not sure if it gets things pumping and jumping inside you. If you have a deck you can sit and use weights in your hands or on your wrists and make like you are rowing a canoe , lunges, squats etc. check self.com videos and see if there is anything there that grabs you and all these exercise can be done outside or on your deck and get your body pumped at the same time. Use your imagination as well, anything that makes you move and your muscles work can be made into an exercise. :)
