Does Dancing really work?

I am starting the SQ program tomorrow ( The Green Tea one) and for the first week or so I was wondering if a dancing work out video will work I have done the work out before and its a great 20 minute work out but I want to know will it really work on the SQ program?

    I say anything that gets you up and moving is good. Don't forget to get some cardio work in there as well. Dancing gets all your muscle groups working so use it. :)

    I definitely felt all kinds of sore for a good two days after booty dancing at a club one weekend. Not to mention how much I was sweating. I was gross, but it was fun =) Dancing is quite the work out.

    I allways feel more energized after dancing than anything else. Also it is so much fun, you get more exercise without thinking about it. Just remember to watch what you drink. It does little good to dance all night and drink beer. Throw in some water now and then. And have fun!!

    Dancing is great because it works everything! I just joined a Zumba class 3 days a week and it never feels like a workout, just a fun hour in the middle of the day! Highly recommend-my friend lost 50 lbs in 5 months of learning and joining Zumba.
